Summer Camps 2009 - Review This year Westmanstown Gaels held two Gaelic Football Summer Camps one of which was part sponsored by VHI ( Cul Camp ). With over 150 Children from the ages of 5 years to 14 years taking part it showed the great demand in the area for Gaelic Games.
Under the stewardship of Michael Ahern & his crew the children were shown basic & advanced skills as well as other activities to encourage participation in outdoor pursuits. Michael commented that this year the children were up for it every day of the week long camp, he also said he hoped to see some of the children continue the sport with Westmanstown Gaels where the facilities were to the highest of standards. Many thanks to those who helped with organising the camps & to the children who took part. Easter Camp Review 17th - 20th April 2009 Easter week saw over 70 children partake in a camp of GAA Games , Michael Ahern ( GPO of Westmanstown Gaels ) organised a structured day every day where the children learned about Gaelic Football in a fun environment . The reaction from the children was great and we appreciate the work of Michael & his team of coaches throughout the week. On Friday there was a Q & A session with the Dublin Footballer Eamon Fennell with the presentation of prizes to all. Westmanstown Gaels also would like to thank Collins Butchers of Lucan for their support.
